I purposely try to make Casey uncomfortable by expressing the fact that I’m religious. Not because I want to “shove it down her throat” because that’s not what my intention is at all, but to do the complete opposite. It’s to prove that someone can be Christian, or whatever faith he or she practices, without forcing it upon someone else or as it is so commonly but incorrectly stated “shoved down your throat”. I actually feel like the ones doing the shoving are those who make fun of religion as if those who practice are all wrong. Most of this post isn’t aimed at Casey, mainly the first sentence and a half. I just happen to spend a lot of time with her and I am comfortable pointing it out in front of her. The rest is about how I feel many Christians are negatively perceived yet I see more often that we are the ones pressed with opposing views.
